Taiko Fundamentals workshop at Östasiatiska museet

Join us for a full day of Japanese Taiko drumming! On November 28, there will be two different Taiko workshops – join one or experience both!

11:00–13:30 | TAIKO FUNDAMENTALS

Learn the basics and explore how body, movement, relaxation and rhythm come together to create sound. We’ll work with basic stance, bachi, arms and wrists, movement, sound and simple Taiko rhythms.

Experience the rhythm and energy of a Japanese festival! We’ll explore Bon Odori dance and bring that movement and groove to the Taiko, using the traditional song Tokyo Ondo.
